When the weather starts to change, our wardrobe essentials shift to layer pieces, like coats and jackets. They provide much more than just an extra layer of protection against the ever-changing weather, they are also an extra piece to style and really the icing on top of any chic fall outfit! Three bloggers from three different countries offer transitional styling tips and show their favourite looks for the fall/winter season ahead.
On-trend coats and jackets for autumn
On a mild autumn day, a simple trench coat or short, lighter coat is the perfect finishing piece to any outfit. By adding this top layer, you can make any basic look, elegant and classic. When the weather starts to shift and get colder, pull on a thick quilted coat made of water-repellent material in a muted colour like black, blue or an earthy olive green, to be paired with a variety of looks. We know thick quilted jackets may not be the most stylish layering piece, but you can make a fashion statement by choosing a bold colour – like a rich ruby red and pairing with additional basic layering pieces.

I love the golden autumn and fashionable accessories that can turn an everyday garment into a super exciting look. An olive colored jacket is my personal must-have for this season. It goes with any color combination and keeps you really warm. What I find particularly great: Olsen does without the use of down and relies as a filling material on the animal-friendly alternative 3M™ Thinuslate™. What’s more, the outer material is made from sustainable Repreve® fibers, i.e. 100% recycled PET bottles!
My favorite way to wear this jacket is with a cozy turtleneck sweater. The red and white Norwegian pattern fits perfectly with the Scandinavian hygge style that I love so much. With cool lace-up boots and a color-matching hat, the look looks really casual and is perfect for long autumn and winter walks in nature!

I love fashion and have had an affinity for beautiful, cool and casual clothes since childhood. I especially like clothes in eye-catching colors. Even in winter I like to wear red, orange or green, because I think that the fall / winter season is already gray enough. Since my look may be gladly also a little more colorful!
The quilted coat of Olsen therefore totally meets my taste! Not only the strong red has done it to me, also the material feels pleasantly light. The pants I have slightly rolled up, which always looks particularly cool. With a beautiful scarf I give my look the finishing touch. All parts are also wonderful to combine individually, but just in this total package they come in my opinion particularly beautiful to the advantage!

As summer comes to an end and fall begins, I start dreaming of cozy sweaters, smart looking pants, and tailored jackets. It’s the perfect time of year to dress in layers since the daytime may be bright and warm while the evenings are cool, crisp and sweater-worthy. Olsen has been a favourite source of mine for refined, elegant, and easy-to-wear clothes for over ten years.
I’m thrilled when I find a coat that I can dress up and down and that works with so many of my everyday outfits. Whether I’m headed to a meeting with a client, going for lunch with a friend, or picking up my kids from school, this beautiful grey bouclé car coat is the perfect finishing touch to my look. The silhouette offers just enough shape while still being relaxed, it’s fully lined and the texture is luxurious. I’m a big fan of neutrals because they’re classic and I especially love how this coat pairs with my go-to’s for the season.
